Mayor Mack Scholarship: The City of Longview is accepting applications for Mayor Andy Mack’s scholarship. $5,000 in total scholarships will be given to graduating seniors from Longview, Pine Tree, Hallsville, and Spring Hill Schools who are residents of Longview. East Texas Builders Association Scholarship: The President of the Board shall appoint an ETBA member as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee. The Executive Board will select four ETBA members to serve on the Committee. The Chairman and Committee will review applications and recommend the scholarship recipients to the
Board of Directors. The amount of funding available and the number of qualified applicants determine the number of
scholarships to be awarded, as well as the amount of each. It is our intent to provide a minimum of $500 per semester. The applicant must be the son or daughter of an ETBA member, of which one or both parents must
reside in the ETBA jurisdictional area. The applicant must be a senior in high school or enrolled in a college or University in pursuit of a 4-year degree or in pursuit of a certification from a Technical Institute. Pursuit of education
associated with the building or construction industry is not required; however, preference will be given to those applicants. An individual recipient’s long term accumulated maximum scholarship is limited to $4000. This is the maximum limit of funding- it is not a guarantee that an applicant will receive the $1000 scholarship per year for four years.
This is a 1-year (2 semesters) scholarship, beginning with the Fall semester. Each semester will be
funded upon proof of enrollment/registration and last semester grades transcript/GPA. A minimum
of a 2.50 GPA on a 4.00 scale is required to continue subsequent semesters’ funding.

• Have completed high school (or earned a high school equivalency credential) by July 1st
• Be enrolled in an associate’s degree, certificate, or diploma program at a not-for-profit post-secondary institution by September that will lead to employment
• Demonstrate financial need (applicants must show family income of $55,000 or less OR prove Pell Grant eligibility)
• Be under the age of 35
• Be a United States citizen

Funds may be used for any costs associated with earning a degree/certificate including, but not limited to: tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation and other personal expenses. All scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.

Country Patches Quilt Guild:  The Country Patches Quilt Guild is offering a scholarship in the amount of $1000.00 to a high school senior who plans to pursue higher education in the fields of textile or fine arts.  The scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient's college or university of choice and may be applied to the cost of tuition and books. The Longview Lions Club announces the 2023 Longview Lions Club Scholarship Awards Program.
Under the Program, three (3) $500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors attending
Longview High School, Pine Tree High School, and Spring Hill High School in Longview, Texas. There
will be one scholarship awarded per school. Applicants must plan to attend a Vocational/Trade School or two (2)-year community college located in Longview, Kilgore, Marshall, or Tyler.
