KILGORE COLLEGE DUAL CREDIT INFORMATION

STEPS TO TAKE IF PURSUING ENROLLMENT IN A KILGORE COLLEGE DUAL CREDIT COURSE AND ARE TSI TESTING ON THE SPRING HILL CAMPUS OR ON THE KILGORE COLLEGE (LONGVIEW) CAMPUS.

Apply Online to Kilgore College:

  1. Go to www.kilgore.edu
  2. Highlight FUTURE STUDENTS
  3. Highlight NEW STUDENTS- START HERE
  4. Highlight ADMISSIONS FOR DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS
  5. Scroll down and click button for DUAL CREDIT APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
  6. Fill out application and WAIT for your KC ID# to be EMAILED to you (Use an email address you check often)
  7. Check your email often for your KC ID#
  8. When you receive your KC ID#... put the number in the “Notes” of your phone or somewhere SAFE!  You will need this number over and over again!

While Waiting on Your KC ID#:

  1. Go to your counselor and get a DUAL CREDIT CONTRACT. This contract must be signed by you and your parent – Turn the Dual Credit Contract in to your Counselor.

After You Receive Your KC ID#: FOLLOW EITHER OPTION 1 OR OPTION 2 BELOW

Option 1:

Go see your counselor to sign up to take the TSI test at SHHS.

2. Take care of the PAA Assignment and bring your completion certificate to Mrs. Williamson before test day.

3.  Pay for your TSI Test:

$20.00 (WHOLE TEST)

$10.00 (SINGLE SECTION RETEST)

Option 2:

  1. BE AT A COMPUTER THAT YOU CAN PRINT FROM
  2. Got to www.tsipreview.com/welcome/KilgoreCollege
  3. Click the GET STARTED button
  4. Click the NEXT button
  5. Fill out the demographic information USE THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS YOU USED ON YOUR DUAL CREDIT APPLICATION AND YOU MUST KNOW YOUR KC ID# IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THIS STEP.
  6. Make sure you accept the TSI PAA User Agreement and go to STEP 2
  7. Complete the TSI Pre Assessment Activity (PAA) and PRINT a copy of your certificate (This will be emailed to you at the email address you entered. You must turn in this certificate when signing up to take the TSI)

 

Show up on time on your scheduled test day to C105 Computer Lab

Go IN PERSON TO KILGORE COLLEGE To Schedule your TSI Test – COST $40

*Once you have proven college readiness with your TSI SCORES- see your counselor for registration paperwork. 

YOU will take this registration paperwork to KC to enroll into the courses.

After you have registered…you will need to pay for your courses (see payment info)

On Test Day - BRING WITH YOU THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION/ITEMS:

  1. KC ID #
  2. PAA CERTIFICATE (You printed this out when you took the TSI pre assessment)
  3. $40.00 if you are taking both parts of the TSI/$20.00 if you are taking only one part of the TSI
  4. PICTURE ID- OR YOUR PLAN TO GET AN ID (You must have a picture ID on testing day. IE: Driver’s License, Permit, etc)
  5. You are now signed up and ready to take the TSI AT KILGORE COLLEGE (Longview or Kilgore Location)

Paying for Dual Credit Courses:

Dual Credit courses are $294.00 per class and YOU are responsible for payment.

High school students are NOT eligible for financial aid.

After you have completed ALL of the steps to enroll in dual credit courses and you have PHYSICALLY taken the required registration paperwork that your counselor gave you downtown to the Kilgore College Longview Center (We don’t do this for you)…You are now responsible for paying for the course or courses you enrolled in.

Here are some payment options:

Payment can be made in person in Kilgore or Longview at the Cashier’s Office. KC accepts cash, personal checks or money orders for the exact amount due, and Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express credit cards.

OR

Your statement or bill for classes is available electronically ONLY and can be accessed by logging onto your student account via the MyKC Student Portal.

To view your account, to pay in full or to enroll in a payment plan (Dual credit students can sign up for the College Green Payment Plan.  You must be registered in classes in order to enroll in a payment plan.) Use the online payment system by going to www.kilgore.edu and log into to your AccessKC account.

Follow the directions below to log in to your AccessKC Account:

KC Username:  4 letters last name, 4 letters first name, last 4 digits of KCID (this number should be in the “notes” of your phone or in an email.  Remember to always keep up with your KCID).

KC Password:  StudentMMDD (don’t forget to CAPITALIZE the “S” in Student)

Example: Allison Williamson        Student ID: 123456789                  Date of Birth: July 25

User: willalli6789               Pass: Student0725

*If either of your names contain only two or three letters, use the same format using only those letters.

To access the PAYNOW or College Green online payment systems, use the following steps:

Pay in full with PAYNOW:

Go to www. Kilgore.edu and:

  1. Log into your AccessKC Account
  2. Enter User Name and Password
  3. Click Proceed with LOGIN
  4. Choose Academics from the top menu
  5. Click on My Financial Info
  6. Select year/term – then scroll down
  7. Select PAY IN FULL WITH PAYNOW (if choosing to enroll in a payment plan, select Pay by College Green)

PAYNOW and College Green are online payment options.  Payments will be drafted electronically from the account information you enter. For College Green plans, all subsequent payments will draft from the same account on the 5th of each month until the account is paid.  If you pay off your student account early, you must contact KC at 903-983-8108 or [email protected] to prevent further payments from drafting.
