A Little About Me
Welcome to my page! I am very excited to be teaching Dual Credit, Pre-cal, and Algebra 2 for the 2023-2024 school year! I am also the Online Learning Coordinator for SHHS. A little about me: I am originally from Lake Charles, LA. I earned my undergraduate degrees at Northwestern State University and my master’s degree from McNeese State University. Mr. Maynard and I are expecting our first baby boy in October! We also have the cutest mini schnauzer on earth named Bailey. One of my favorite quotes is "Learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow." This is my seventh year at Spring Hill; I am excited to share this year with you, WELCOME BACK!

General Information

 

Class supplies: 1 Pack of Tissues ALL, as well as

  • 1st  Period (Alg 2): 1 Pack of pencils (preferably Ticonderoga)
  • 3rd Period (Pre-Cal): 1 Pack of pencils (preferably Ticonderoga)
  • 4th Period (Alg 2): 1 Pack of lined paper (preferably college ruled)
  • 5th Period (Pre-Cal): 1 Pack of lined paper (preferably college ruled)
  • 6th Period (Dual Credit): Tissues is all!
  • 7th Period (Alg 2):  1 Pack of red pens

General Supplies:

  1. 3 Ring Binder/Folder
    • Pre-Cal and Alg 2: 1.5 in (minimum)
    • Dual Credit: 1 in (minimum)
  2. Calculator TI 84 – you can either buy one or I will have a classroom set for you to use.

You (parents or students) can sign up for reminder messages through remind 101 for my classes. You text the phone number 81010 (if this isn't working, text the number 603-262-1849 instead) with the messages as follows:

Grades for SHHS are calculated as follows: (This is NOT dual credit!)
  • Tests 60%, Homework 40%
Cheating/Plagiarism will not be tolerated.  Cheating will result in a grade of zero that cannot be made up and a conference scheduled with parents. Cheating/Plagiarism includes but is not limited to: copying another student’s work/test, finding work online and using it as your own, using phones/cheat sheets on a test without permission
 
Classroom Expectations:

  • Be Prepared- Come to class with everything you need for the day. Keep in mind the things you will need for projects and classwork as well!

  • Be Prompt- Please be on time. Coming in late is not only a distraction for your fellow students but hinders your learning since you have missed material!

  • Be Productive- Make the most of your time with me. Please do not distract the people around you!

  • Be Polite- Respect EVERYONE; teacher, classmates, and substitutes included!

  • Be Positive- Never give up! “You never fail until you stop trying.” -Albert Einstein
