Spring Hill High School Leaders’ Core hosted the first of three Blood Drives earlier this week. In total, 57 donors participated in the event, 32 of whom were first-time donors. The event resulted in 46 units of blood collected.
"We attribute the large turnout to Mrs. Borden and her classes for educating our student population on the importance of donating and how each donor can save up to three lives!" Leaders’ Core sponsor Becky Peurifoy said.
Seniors who donate blood twice this school year will receive a red cord to wear at the graduation ceremony.
“We believe this is a great way to recognize their contribution to our community and foster future plans to continue to participate in this program.” Peurifoy said.
